Facilities may employ a Certified Practitioner to help implement an energy management system— whether or not the facility seeks certification under ISO 50001 or Superior Energy Performance (SEP). These qualified professionals possess the specialized expertise to help a facility accelerate improvements in energy performance and sustain the benefits.
Certified Practitioners have completed a training program and passed a rigorous exam to demonstrate their prowess in integrating energy efficiency into the framework of any existing management system based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. This unique set of skills is new to most energy efficiency professionals, as well as to many corporate and plant managers.
The Institute for Energy Management Professionals is the only body licensed by the American National Standards Institute to certify individuals as Certified Practitioners in Energy Management Systems. To learn more, locate a Certified Practitioner.
